8th Annual Kansas Rural Hospital Pharmacy Summit
The Kansas Council of Health System Pharmacy is providing a virtual rural pharmacy legislative update and networking session on September 15 from 10-11:15 am. This free, virtual event is designed for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy nurses working in rural and critical access hospitals. Schedule of Events:
10:00-10:30 a.m.: Kansas Board of Pharmacy Legislative Update
This session will provide relevant updates from the Board of Pharmacy and the regulatory community from the past year to rural pharmacists, pharmacy nurses and technicians
10:30-11:15 a.m.: Kansas Board of Pharmacy Inspector
This session will provide input from board of pharmacy inspectors on “What the board of pharmacy expects when we visit your hospital”? With USP 795, 797 and 800, all the hospitals are making changes to meet regulations and this session will provide information and also allow time for questions for the inspectors.
11:15-11:30 a.m.: Networking and KCHP Town Hall Session
This session will allow for discussion among attendants and KCHP board members on pressing issues rural and critical access hospital pharmacies are facing, and how KCHP can meet your needs. We will also discuss the formation of a rural and critical access section within KCHP to allow for continued support of this specialized area of pharmacy between meetings.
